directions from nelspruit

Leave the Nelspruit airport, drive through Nelspruit on the R40 (towards WhiteRiver).

Drive through White River, Hazyview and Bushbuckridge and on towards Hoedspruit.

Continue straight on the R40. From the four way stop (where you continue straight) drive about 17km until you see the Balule Gate on your right (there is a big cell phone mast there).

Turn into the gate and tell them you are going to Ukhozi – they shouldn’t charge you.

Drive straight on the dirt road until you reach a gate and a sign for Ukhozi (about 10km), drive under the elephant fence and turn left and continue on that dirt road all the way until the camp (about 7km – there is an elephant fence along the way – just drive to the right and round it). In total it’s about 40 minutes from the Balule gate to the camp. You will lose your cell reception on the dirt road.
